We all just want to be ourselves, our true selves.
As a gay person I specifically support lgbtq+ people to improve their mental health and wellbeing. I work with people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and those who may not identify as lgbtq+ and may be questioning their sexual or gender identity.
Having experienced challenges as a gay person since coming out in my teens and again in my early twenties, I understand some of the challenges lgbtq+ people face. Navigating through life can sometimes be a lot harder for our community and sometimes you need to talk to someone who gets you. For many lgbtq+ it’s just more comfortable to open up to someone who’s been through similar situations to you, understands the challenges you may face in daily life and respects you for however you want to identify.
As a coach I help lgbtq+ figure out what kind of life they want and how to find the confidence to make it happen. I also help people navigate coming out, exploring their identity and building their confidence so they can be who they are and celebrate it.
I am passionate about working with all people of any age and whatever stage of life.
We all just want to be ourselves, our true selves. We want to feel like we belong, feel accepted, loved and recognised for who we are and how we identify. I am here to support you wherever you are on your journey.
I can also help parents who are wanting to support their teenage children as they explore their identity.
As well as coaching people individually I run workshops and deliver talks on lgbtq+ topics to ensure workplaces, schools and communities are supportive, inclusive and understanding of all people. To find out more get in touch.
"Working with Emily as my coach has helped me improve my relationship with myself. Hearing her speak about her own challenges as a gay person really helped me to come in terms with my own identity and sexuality. She creates a comfortable, trusted space to explore how you may want to identify and how to navigate that. Working with Emily was like talking to a very trusted friend."
